3rd Retreat For Christian Couples ~ Caazapa

This past Sunday Sis. Alicia hosted the third Christian Couples Retreat in Caazapa. Despite the rain all day Saturday and into Sunday morning early, we had about 40 couples from at least 7 different meetings. We started at 8:00 and had two messages, then we broke up into groups of four to six couples and answered questions from a work book that Alicia put together with 64 marriage related Bible questions.
The following is from sister Alicia Ocampos:
Sunday, May 10th we had our Third Retreat For Christian Couples. We had been praying and talking with Randy and Loida. They helped a lot in prayer and also with the printed material. We are grateful to the Lord for their lives and service. Sister Graciela also helped in prayer and with her presence and gave a very anointed message. We are grateful for Sister Graciela's life and her ministry in the work here; going through difficult trials, but very courageous in the Lord. We were sad that Brother Fide was not able to share with us, although he was very willing to do so. We accepted this from the hand of the Lord
We thank the Lord in all things!

Ephesians 5:20 giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ
Despite the rain, we had a good turn out, 37 couples and some without their spouses. A total of 80 adults participated in the services and the work groups. Both messages at the retreat were very anointed and interesting. After the messages we divided into groups to answer a series of Bible questions. This, it seems to me works well, as it is less tiring and they can take the workbook home and go over the lessons.
Those interested in attending called to confirm and almost all commented: "we need this so much" and "we will not miss out on this". Monday, after the event, I received several messages from those who participated, testifying that it was such a blessing and that they learned a lot:
-"We need to have these more often".
-"Only the Lord can reward all that you did for us; we enjoyed it so much."
-"May the Lord repay you double for all that you did for our good. The Retreat was great. Hope it's not the last".
-"The Retreat was wonderful; the messages, the work group and the food. Thanks for everything".
-"The Retreat was great. We are very grateful for all that you did for our good. Genuinely Thanks! Also for the pictures."
-"Great Retreat! Can't ask for more!"
-"I am soooo thrilled!" This in regards to a couple from Buena Vista who participated in the event and whose husband only two years ago had prohibited his wife from taking their children to church and absolutely hated us. Last year he accepted Christ as Savior here in Caazapa with us and they attend services here every 15 days. The wife wrote: "Truly God is real and does wonders and powerful miracles! Thank the Lord for EVERYTHING!
I also want to thank the Lord for everything, everything, everything! The messages, the offerings, the prayers, the time, those who came from near and far, the young people that took on the work; serving tables and taking care of the children. To GOD be all Glory and Honor!
Ephesians 3:20-21 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
We are seeing hearts that are awakened to the Lord and are being challenged. We pray that each one will put in practice what they have learned. I would also like to request prayer for the Workers Meeting that we want to have, the Lord willing, June 12, 13 and 14. Thank you so much for your prayer on behalf of the Lord's work in Paragauy. We go forward!
Our gratitude and love in Christ,
Alicia Ocampos
