February 2015 Newsletter

For yet a little while,
And He who is coming will come and will not tarry.
(Hebrews 10:37)

We started our January newsletter with that Scripture and we still believe it to be true. With each passing day, the coming of the Lord draws ever closer. On our part, we must labor in the will of God, in one hand the hammer, in the other the Sword, while watching closely the eastern sky. "It may be at morn, when the day is awaking, when sunlight through darkness and shadow is breaking that Jesus will come in the fullness of glory to receive from the world His own." "What a day that will be, when my Jesus  I shall see"!!

February has been a very rainy month, which is good for our plants, but not always good for traveling. One Saturday night we went to Cnel Oviedo with two other brothers and it rained all the way there. When we got to church, only the pastor and his family showed up and then two more families showed up. Many do not have a vehicle and riding a motorcycle in the rain would surely not be fun. Usually, when it rains here, it literally pours. Paraguay is sub tropical, so we do not have monsoon rains, but very similar. In just fifteen minutes the streets turn into rivers.

This last weekend in February we celebrated the 50th wedding anniversary of Loida's parents. They have also been in the ministry some 40 years, pastoring in Ciudad del Este or Puerto Presidente Stroessner, as it was known before 1989. They are both 75 and live very active and very hectic lives.

We have spent several days looking for either a house or a piece of property on which to build. Finding either within the downtown area of Villarrica is resulting very difficult and very expensive. A piece of property is typically about 40ft by 100ft which is doable but not comfortable. We have looked at several existing structures that might fulfill our needs. Our number one concern is space to place the print shop. We are praying and waiting on the Lord. We especially do not want this to distract us from what the Lord has called us to do; preach the word.

The 12th we will be heading to Tucuman, Argentina the Lord willing and the first of April we will have a family camp at Isla Vega. In between these camps and special meeting we continue to visit Capiata, Cnel Oviedo and Caazapa. We continually pray for the leading of the Holy Spirit as the Lord opens many other opportunities  for ministry.

Till He come, may He find us busy, but not just busy, but busy doing His will.

Your love and prayers are a comfort to our hearts.

Randy & Loida Crook
