It's About Time!

The last three months have been a whirlwind of activity; travel, meetings, camps, food, people, preaching, more travel, more food and blessings beyond expression. Before we go any farther, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to each and every one of you for your faithful prayers on our behalf! I will also say publicly what we have expressed daily; Praise God! Praise God! Praise God! Gracias! Gracias! Gracias! Thank you Lord for who you are and for what you do in us, for us and through us!!!

We have been praying to see the glory of God, to see His hand at work "in the moment". To not look back and say "oh, look, God answered our prayer". But to see in the moment His hand in action. We have been so very, very blessed in every way! We have seen the hand of God in big ways and in the small day-to-day kindnesses. His daily provision as we traveled almost 10,000 miles in three different countries on cobblestone, dirt roads, paved highways and narrow, unmarked, pothole filed, cow infested, with motorcycles without lights, plagued roads. He kept our vehicles running, protected us from danger, gave us grace with the police, highway patrol checkpoints and immigration and custom officials. He provided the finances for gas and food and repairs and not from those that we would expect, but teaching us once again that HE is the source, and the channel He uses is just that...a channel.

We have treasured every moment of these last 13 weeks! Arriving in Paraguay. The January Isla Vega Camp. The purchase of a vehicle. Meeting up with mom and dad in Chile. Meetings in Buenos Aires. Traveling to Tucuman, Resistencia and Herradura. Visiting over 30 assemblies in Paraguay, some that we had not visited since 2008 and some for over 20 years and even several new places. Truly "the harvest is plentiful and workers are few". What a joy to have mom and dad here and then to have brother David come and on top of that to have both the Barkley's and the Gravitt's! Words just can not express our personal joy and the blessing that this has been for the many assemblies and hundreds of lives touched.

It would be impossible for us to sum up all our feelings and thoughts regarding the last six months and much less to try to summarize all the events. Back in 2010 the Lord had put it on dad's heart to skip one year and to plan an extended trip for 2013 to South America. At the time, he had no idea or thought that the Lord would be calling Loida and me to full time ministry in Paraguay and much less that we would already be down here during his extended trip. I wish I could take the time and had the words to express the spiritual work that was done with dad's ministry. Please pray that what God has done by the power of the Holy Spirit will yield full fruit for eternity.

For Loida and me the past six months have been one big paradox. The uncertainty and yet the deepest assurance. The confusion and yet such clarity. The sadness and yet the deepest joy. The unrest and yet a peace that passes understanding. The doubts and yet the most calm faith. The hectic schedule and yet strength for the day. The wear on the body and yet perfect health. The fiercest spiritual battles and glorious victories.

How we praise our glorious God and Savior with all our being! His wonders to perform! How glorious beyond description to walk with Him! Trust Him! Love Him! Confide in Him! He is our ALL IN ALL! Alleluia!!!

May the Lord continue to bless and guide and build up each and every one of you!
