Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Merry Christmas 2012
From Randy and Loida Crook

Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

"Unto us a child is given". God SO loved the world that he GAVE His only begotten son. Two things that never cease to amaze us; God's love and God's gift. God is not an "Indian giver"; He freely gave His Son. He fully gave His Son. He permanently gave His Son. There was no greater gift that He could give. Jesus Christ truly is an "inexpressible gift". He is our Lord, our counselor and comforter, our mighty redeemer; not only eternally but daily. He is our prince of peace and so much more.

Our prayer and desire for you this year is that you will continue to learn in a deep and practical way the wonders of His person. In doing so, that you may love Him more deeply and desire Him more fully.

2012 has been a wonderful and challenging year for Loida and me. In January we took our usual mission trip to Paraguay and Argentina and as always enjoyed a wonderful time of fellowship in the word. In July we had our GCC Family Camp and again were blessed with a time of refreshing in the Holy Spirit. In October we announced our response to the Lords calling to move to Paraguay for full time ministry. Since then it has been a whirlwind of activity and work. Holidays with family, a trip to San Antonio to see our sixth grand baby, birthdays, Thanksgiving, etc. And then there is the packing and shipping.

Both Loida and I will be giving our two weeks notice at our respective jobs and the 11th of January will be our last day at work. We have purchased our tickets for Paraguay and will be leaving KCI on the 17th of January, 2013; almost exactly 20 years since I moved from Paraguay and 15 years since Loida first set foot on US soil.

We would like to express our gratitude to you for sharing in our lives and for being such a blessing to us. Your love and care and prayers mean more to us than words can express. May our Heavenly Father continue to bless you and draw you ever closer to Himself. And our greatest desire and prayer; may this be the year of Christ's return! Even so, come Lord Jesus.
