Caazapa

CAAZAPA
The Isla Vega camp finished Sunday at noon.   We had two morning lessons and then lunch.  From Isla Vega, Loida and I went directly to Caazapa for an evening service.  There was quite a bunch there at the church when we arrived; preparing “asado al horno” (barbeque in the outdoor wood ovens), sopa Paraguaya, etc.

Bro. Genaro was overjoyed to see us.  He was not able to be at the camp, but he assured me he had been kept up-to-date and had been praying daily for the services; along with others that gathered for prayer at the church.  We went with Bro. Genaro to see another church property where they have almost finished a building for special meetings.  The property is packed full of fruit trees, mandioca, corn, grapes, etc.  The produce from this land is used by the church and for Bro. Genaro and his family.  It is truly a sight to see.

We had a good turnout for the evening service, considering how tired everyone was after 5 days of camp.  Someone apologized that they were nodding off during service.  I told them not to worry, that most of the congregation was nodding off.

After church, we went over to another brothers house for the asado.  So, supper after 10pm again and to bed about midnight.

We were up at 4:00am for prayer; a good turnout.  After prayer I stayed up and to drink mate with Alicia and others.  Mate, the typical hot tea, is always a good time of fellowship.

About 8 or so, we had another prayer meeting with a few that came later and there were some very very urgent burdens to present before the Throne of grace.

Jose and Rutpri drove us back to Villarrica.
